Max Malitzky, PsyD

Meet Dr. Max Malitzky

Dr. Max Malitzky earned his doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology and completed his psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR), where he is now a faculty member and supervisor. His approach integrates the depth of psychoanalytic work with trauma-focused modalities, such as prolonged exposure, allowing clients to address both conscious concerns and underlying patterns.

With expertise in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, sexual inhibition and dysfunction, and navigating complex relationship dynamics, Dr. Malitzky provides care that is both compassionate and rooted in clinical rigor. He also works extensively with clients from high-intensity religious communities and those living abroad, helping them adapt, process, and thrive in new contexts.
